We are looking for a Student assistant (Hiwi) (m/f/d) who wants to join our team and help working on the ConfIDent platform for Open Research Information on Scientific Events.
Our team covers a group at the Chair of Computer Science 5 – Information Systems at RWTH Aachen University, Aachen and the Leibniz Information Center for Science and Technology University Library (TIB), Hannover.
Your Profile

· Interest in modern software
architectures and web technologies, as well as, agile methodologies, design
patterns, and the ability to learn faster;
· Solution oriented and independent
working manner, as well as the abilities to keep the commitment, working in a
heterogeneous environment, also remotely, based on agile development, following
instructions and providing new solutions in a proactive way;
· At least some prior experience with the technologies related to the development of the platform to be created. Proficiency with the following technologies is important:
Python, git, test-first development, storage technologies such as SQL,
SPARQL, JSON, graph databases, web crawling and scraping.
· Proficiency with the following technologies and knowledge is a plus:
MediaWiki (PHP), Semantic MediaWiki, RDF, SPARQL, Continuous integration with Travis/GitHub actions, graph databases such as Gremlin, dgraph, statistical analysis
· Fluent German is a plus.

· You can choose to work either at RWTH Aachen University in our student working space or mostly remote.
