We are looking for a Hiwi (m/f/d) who wants to join our team and help implementing web interfaces for several different research projects on data science and knowledge management in various application domains.

Our team covers a group at the Chair of Computer Science 5 – Information Systems at RWTH Aachen University and the Knowledge Pipelines department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT, an applied research institute with excellent industry contacts in Sankt Augustin-Birlinghoven near Bonn.

Your focus of expertise lies in the development of web-based components and applications in the context of international research projects in the domain of data management.

Your Profile

  • Interest in modern software architectures and web technologies

  • Solution oriented and independent working manner

  • At least some prior experience with technologies related to the development of web- based components and applications. Proficiency with the following technologies is a plus: JavaScript/Node.js/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, Angular, Semantic Web, RDBMS and NoSQL Databases.

  • Fluent German is a plus
