We are looking for multiple student assistants (m/f/d) who are interested in developing a frontend and/or backend for our PaiRS platform (Pairing Recommendation System zum Peer-to-Peer Austausch digitaler Kompetenzen). The goal of this p2p platform is to connect local businesses with each other in questions regarding digitalization. For this platform, both, a suitable frontend and a backend will be developed. The frontend will be developed using state-of-the-art web technologies. Besides the user management, the backend’s tasks are a recommender system and an incentive scheme based on modern blockchain technologies.

Your Profile

  • Interest in modern software architectures and web technologies
  • Interested in working with agile methodologies and common design patterns
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Solution-oriented and independent working manner


  • Experience in state-of-the-art software development
  • Experience in backend or frontend development
  • Experience with the development and operation lifecycle
  • Prior experience with the following technologies is required:

     o   Java or JavaScript (even better: TypeScript)

     o   Git

     o   Database technologies including JSON and SQL

  • Proficiency in the following topics is highly welcomed, but not necessary:

     o   Machine learning and statistical analysis

     o   Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Web-frameworks

     o   Web API development

     o   Blockchain

     o   Kubernetes, Docker, or continuous integration

  • Fluency in German is a plus, but by no means necessary
  • Fluency in English for reading technical documentation is required
