i5 had a successful EC-TEL 2011 week in Palermo, Italy

Three paper presentations, one poster, a booth, three workshops, a board meeting, two general assemblies and a project meeting for EU financed projects were on the to-do-list of i5 people attending the 6th European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning (EC-TEL 2011) in Palermo, Italy, September 19-23.

i5 people were extremely busy working on the tight schedule for the EC-TEL 2011 week in Palermo, Italy, September 19-23. Monday starts with the two day general assembly of the EU ICT funded project TELMAP (Future gazing Technology Enhanced Learning - The Roadmap for the unknown Learning Landscape). On Tuesday, we ran the general assembly and in parallel our first workshop on Enhancing Learning with Ambient Displays and Visualization Techniques (ADVTEL'2011). On Wednesday, we had a project meeting for the EU LLL TELLNET (Teacher's lifelong learning network) and two parallel workshops in the afternoon: 1st European Workshop on Awareness and Reflection in Learning Networks (ARNets11) co-organized by the TELLNET project and the TEL-Think-Tank Workshop co-organized by the TELMAP and the GALA project. On Thursday, the regular conference starts for us with a paper presentation of the ROLE project, a booth of the ROLE project and a poster presented by Michael Derntl. At lunch time, Ralf Klamma was attending the board meeting of IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies where he serves at an associate editor. In the evening, the general assembly of the European Association on Technology Enhanced Learning (EATEL) was held just before the conference dinner in Palermo. At the last day, Milos Kravcik, Yiwei Cao and Ralf Klamma presented two papers for an interested conference audience.
