I5 Alumnus wins Software Campus Scholarship

Georg Hackenberg, 2010 alumnus of the Software Systems Engineering program and former UMIC student researcher, was one of the eleven first recent master graduates who received a "Software Campus" award from Chancellor Merkel during her Annual IT Summit in Munich. In this program of the ICT-Labs within the European Institute of Technology (EIT), young Ph.D. students receive research a grant of 100.000€ for self-guided research in addition to their normal assistantship or scholarship, plus regular coaching by top managers from industry. Hackenberg is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the chair of Prof. M. Broy at TU Munich.
