System Overview

  • LM-DTM  is a workspace including an IMS LIP-compliant learner profile metadata editor, a learner model tranformation from IMS LIP to IEEE PAPI core features, as well as a lucene-based powerful matching and rating algorithm.

  • Deployment of a Learner Model
    • Create a new LIP-compliant Learner Model
    • Edit a LIP-compliant Learner Model
    • Import a LIP-compliant Learner Model into LIP Editor
    • Save a Learner Model to the file system as XML file
    • Save a Learner Model into XML native database (tested with eXist DB)
    • The Learner Model is shown in the left frame of the LIP Editor either as XML DOM Tree view or as XML code text
  • Transformation of a Learner Model from IMS LIP format to IEEE PAPI format
  • Matching of a Learner Model to other models stored in the XML learner modeling repository

LM-DTM v1.0 Demos

There are three demos available:

  1. Deployment of the Learner Model
  2. Learner Model Transformation
  3. Matching of Learner Model

Installation Notes

  1. Download
  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to your hard-drive
  3. To run the application, locate and  double-click the LM-DTM.jar file. Alternatively, you can run it via command-line: java -jar LM-DTM.jar (Requires Java 1.5)
