  • Technology Enhanced Learning

    • AR-FOR-EU - Augmented Reality in Formal European University Education

      Based on specific disciplines taught at the partner universities, the aim of the project is to collaboratively create two multidisciplinary teaching courses (basic and advanced) on the topic of Augmented Reality (AR) that is suitable as specialisation in all participating fields (Computing, ICT, Media). The production of digital Open Educational Resources (OER), interactive eBooks and practical exercises, and implementation on the Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) platform will foster uptake beyond the consortium.

    • Doctoral Education for Technology-Enhanced Learning (DE-TEL)

      Doctoral Education for Technology-Enhanced Learning (DE-TEL) project will establish and deepen a strategic partnership for doctoral education in Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL). DE-TEL brings together 9 internationally renowned universities and the European Association of Technology-Enhanced Learning to reflect their expertise in doctoral education into a new internationally validated program in TEL, extended with rich and professionally produced Open Educational Resources. The project grounds the design of the new program in the best practices in TEL doctoral education across Europe as well as institutional and national requirements.

      The European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning (EATEL) supports a network of European research laboratories and groups via free services, sponsoring high profile TEL events, a knowledge interchange, and a set of very active Special Interest Groups.

    • MILKI-PSY - Multimodales Immersives Lernen mit KI für Psychomotorische Fähigkeiten

      MILKI-PSY hat zum Ziel, KI-gestützte, datenintensive, multimodale, immersive Lernumgebungen für das selbstständige Erlernen psychomotorischer Fähigkeiten zu schaffen. Dabei entsteht ein domänen-übergreifender Ansatz, der es ermöglicht, die Tätigkeiten von Experten multimodal aufzuzeichnen und diese Aufzeichnungen als Blaupausen für Lernende zu verwenden. Mit Hilfe KI-gestützter Analysen soll dabei der Lernfortschritt durch automatisierte Fehlererkennung und generiertes, individuelles Feedback unterstützt werden. So entstehen ganzheitliche, innovative Lernumgebungen für das Erlernen psychomotorischer Fähigkeiten, in denen personalisierte, KI-gestützte Lernunterstützung individuelle Lernprozesse auf Basis komplexer Datenanalysen ermöglicht.

      „Personalisierte Kompetenzentwicklung durch skalierbare Mentoringprozesse - tech4comp“ ist eines von derzeit neun Projekten, die in der Förderlinie „Innovationspotenziale digitaler Hochschulbildung“ in interdisziplinären Forschungskonsortien didaktische, technologische und organisationale Gestaltungsaspekte der Hochschulbildung beleuchten und so zur nachhaltigen Veränderung der Hochschullandschaft beitragen werden.

    • WEKIT - Wearable Experience for Knowledge Intensive Training

      Wearable TEL platform enhances human abilities to acquire procedural knowledge by providing a smart system that directs attention to where it is most needed. An extensive audit of industry procedures, policies and participatory design methods will define the main facets of the platform. User test cycles will refine prototypes and deliverables. Existing wearable smart devices and sensors will be tailored to provide an innovative solution for content delivery and measurement of user performance. Comparative tests, stakeholders’ review and leading the IEEE ARLEM group will secure high-standard academic and industrial outputs.

      As the basis for the transfer of Aachen production technology into the age of the fourth industrial revolution, the next important milestone for the further creation of application-oriented and innovative solutions in the field of production technology is now on the agenda of the new Cluster. The IoP offers real-time, secure information availability of all relevant data at any time, at any place and is regarded as the core of industry 4.0. In this way, the IoP paves the way for a new era of production.

      i* is a goal-oriented modeling language developed by Eric Yu from the University of Toronto. The i* Wiki is intended to enable collaborative work on i* and related topics.

      The SunSITE project at RWTH Aachen University started 1995 as a hosting system for open software and content. Today the SunSITE contains also information about science, culture and virtual communities. And we still run www and ftp servers giving access to the SunSITE Software Archive.
