David Farrell is a Lecturer and PhD researcher at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. He has been working in games development since 2005. As an academic, he led the design and development of one of Europe's largest games based learning projects, e-Bug ( http://www.e-bug.eu), which launched in 2009 and saw games being developed to teach children across 18 European countries about hygiene, microbes, and antibiotics. His current research looks at the role of emotion in serious games.
