In the context of this thesis, the student should implement a distributed data revisioning system, enabling interorganizational data reuse and extension in the Internet of Production and Internet of Things.

In the Internet of Things, and especially the Internet of Production, massive amounts of semi-structured data, such as sensor readings, process control data, log data etc., are generated at an ever increasing pace. While this data is abundant, reusability and sharing of this data is massively hindered by the lack of standardized open interfaces. To tackle these challenges and in order to allow for the tracability of production processes throughout the supply chain, data should be versioned and retrievable via standardized REST web APIs.

In the context of this thesis, the student should implement a distributed data revisioning system, enabling interorganizational data reuse and extension in the Internet of Production and Internet of Things. The implementation should be guided by web standards such as the Linked Data Platform, the MEMENTO protocol and the PROV data model for data lineage.
