A Social Bot Success Model

Thesis type
  • Bachelor
Status Running

Social Bots (software robots) are computer algorithms that automatically produce content and interact with humans on social media. The goal of this study is to discover success factors that make the use of a (chat)bot successful.

In our efforts to support heterogeneous communities with the tools and structures they need, we created our flagship peer-to-peer community platform las2peer. In our latest research efforts, we developed a social bot framework, which allows for a model-driven collaborative construction and utilization of social bots in the domain of technology enhanced learning (TEL). With the latest enhancements, it is possible to query aggregated usage data and visualizations via chat or to conduct surveys via chat

The goal of this thesis is to discover success factors for (chat)bots and create a success model by utilizing the MobSOS Evaluation Center. The social bot framework should give its bot creators live statistics on their usage and performance by visualizing them on the dashboard, but also via chat.
