We are looking for a HiWi (f/m/d) for software development in our IoT-Lab, with a Focus on Data Stream Processing and SPS Programming.
We, the Data Stream Management and Analysis research group, are engaged in researching and prototyping new architectures and methods for processing and analyzing data streams.
In our research, we develop a Distributed Stream Processing Architecture for heterogeneous edge environments. For our IoT-Lab we are looking for a student to support the development of the architecture, as well as maintaining and extending our fischertechnik-based testbed.

- Good programming skills (Rust or C# would be ideal)
- Knowledgeable about IoT protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, …)
- Interest in IoT and Industrial Automation
- Preferable: Experience with SPS programming (Siemens S7) and Cloud Computing (Azure)
- Preferable: general understanding of data stream processing (for example from our lecture on “Data Stream Management and Analysis”)
