Several HiWi Positions for Lecture “Implementation of Databases” (WS 2023/24)

For the upcoming winter term 2023/24, we are looking for student assistants to support us in lecture, exercise, and exam organization of the lecture “Implementation of Databases” for 12h / week.

We are looking for several student assistants to support us in the organization of the lecture and exercise sessions of “Implementation of Databases”. The primary tasks are:

  • Joint development of exercise tasks and implementation of Jupyter Notebook exercise sheets
  • Correction of submitted exercises
  • Organization and supervision of the final exams

Evaluations will start immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.

Prerequisites:
  • Successfully attended “Implementation of Databases” in previous years or other experience supporting the required level of database knowledge
  • Clear understanding of database concepts such as query languages, indexing methods, transaction management, and ability to explain these concepts in comprehensible language
  • English at working proficiency level
  • Reliable communication
  • Preferrable: Experience with Jupyter Notebooks
