HiWi Positions for Lecture “Data Stream Management and Analysis” (from April 1st, 2024)

From April 1st, 2024, we are looking for student assistants to support us in exercise and exam organization of the lecture “Data Stream Management and Analysis” for 8-12h / week.

We are looking for student assistants to support us in the organization of the lecture and exercise sessions of “Data Stream Management and Analysis”. The primary tasks are:

  • Joint development of exercise tasks and implementation of Jupyter Notebook exercise sheets
  • Correction of submitted exercises
  • Organization and supervision of the final exams

Prerequisites:
  • Successfully attended “Data Stream Management and Analysis” in previous years or other experience supporting the required level of knowledge on data streams
  • currently enrolled as a student
  • Basic understanding of fundamental database concepts such as query languages and ability to explain these concepts in comprehensible language
  • English at working proficiency level
  • Reliable communication
  • Interest in modern Data Stream Processing Platforms and Technologies such as Apache Kafka and ksqlDB
  • Preferrable: Experience with Jupyter Notebooks
