We are happy to announce that another two of our female researchers at Informatik 5 and Fraunhofer FIT have accomplished professorship positions.
Dr. Rihan Hai, a former researcher at Fraunhofer FIT and in RWTH Aachen’s Excellence Cluster “Internet of Production”, has accepted a position as tenure-track Assistant Professor of Web Information Systems at the Technical University of Delft, turning down offers from two other universities. After her B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Tsinghua University, China, Dr. Hai had defended her Ph.D. thesis at Informatik 5 in the field of data lakes in July 2020 under supervision of Professors Jarke, Quix, and Renée Miller (Northeastern University, USA).
Svetlana Matiouk, a former researcher and designer at Fraunhofer FIT, joined the Macromedia University of Arts and Media in Stuttgart/Germany, as Professor of Digital Design & Coding in September 2021. At FIT, Ms. Matiouk had contributed, among other projects, to the design of user interfaces for people with special needs, especially deaf users.
