The thesis will focus on technologies in industrial control systems (ICS) and anomaly detection on encrypted data in the domain. There are different scientific approaches for anomaly detection on encrypted data. The main contribution of the thesis will be a methodological comparison of various techniques, methods, and approaches to find their suitability for the ICS use cases, ideally in the energy domain. For example, one of the main constraints and comparison indicators is regarding the performance of the approaches. The student can use the digital energy group lab environment for evaluation and validation.

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge in the domain of cyber security.
