Starting with early workflow systems for office automation, process management has moved into less structured and more complex application domains. A typical application domain is the support of development processes, such as in the automotive industry. In such domains, processes are characterized by their weak determinism, but all the more complex structure. In addition, it is often necessary to adapt processes to the current framework conditions of a project. In this lecture, concepts and tools for the support of such weakly structured processes are presented.
