Cloud / Edge Data Stream Processing Frontend Development (HiWi Position)

For the upcoming StreamFröst Project, we are looking for student assistants to support the development of a Framework to enable cross-organizational Data Stream Processing.

We, the Data Stream Management and Analysis research group, are working on solutions to process data in near realtime in heterogeneous IoT environments between cloud and edge.

In the StreamFröst project, we are developing a web platform to support cross-platform data streaming with support from our industry partner DB Systel. This platform will support cross-organizational use cases in Smart Cities and Public Infrastructure. Users will be able to visually build processing pipelines across data processing systems and organizational boundaries between the cloud and the edge.

We are looking for students to join our team of researchers as front-end developers to help us connect systems and organizations through a unified pipeline editor.

Your profile:

  • Good Web Development skills (Typescript, Nodejs, React/Angular/Vue)
  • Knowledge of Basic Software Project Management tools and agile workflows (Gitlab)
  • Preferable: general understanding of data stream processing
    (for example from our lecture on “Data Stream Management and Analysis”)
