Cloud / Edge Data Stream Processing CBackend Development (HiWi Position)

For the upcoming StreamFröst Project, we are looking for student assistants to support the development of a Framework to enable cross-organizational Data Stream Processing.

We, the Data Stream Management and Analysis research group, are working on solutions to process data in near realtime in heterogeneous IoT environments between cloud and edge.

In the StreamFröst project, we are developing an interoperable system to support cross-platform data streaming.
This system will support cross-organizational use cases in Smart Cities and Public Infrastructure and enable cross-organizational data stream processing.

We are looking for students to join our team of researchers as software developers to help us connect data stream processing systems.

Your profile:

  • Good C++ skills
  • Knowledge of Basic Software Project Management tools and agile workflows (Gitlab)
  • Interest in Systems Development
  • Sound Knowledge in databases and information systems
  • Preferable: general understanding of data stream processing
    (for example from our lecture on “Data Stream Management and Analysis”)
