The vision of NFDI4DataScience (NFDI4DS) is to support all steps of the complex and interdisciplinary research data lifecycle, including collecting/creating, processing, analyzing, publishing, archiving, and reusing resources in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

The project is composed of several partners, including the Information Systems & Databases department (Lehrstuhl Informatik 5) of RWTH Aachen University, who act as co-spokespersons and participants in NFDI consortia.

The NFDI4DS work program consists of 6 task areas and RWTH is contributing to Task Area 2: research Knowledge Graphs aims at improving FAIRness of Data Science artefacts including research datasets, benchmarks, machine learning models and research software (code and executables). The RWTH co-spokesperson and participants in the NFDI4DataScience are Dr. Sulayman K. Sowe and Dr. Christoph Lange.
